Blaenau Gwent's LSCB provide a variety of training events throughout the year, from Safeguarding Induction training, through to more in depth specialist events catering for professionals and anyone working with children and young people.
The LSCB use a 4 tiered model for delivering training and a guide is set out below
Level 1 - Basic safeguarding training suitable for all staff or any professional that works with children and young people - normally lasts 1-2 hours.
Level 2 - Standard safeguarding training which explores areas of child protection to a greater depth and suitable for staff that take a child protection lead in their organisation - normally takes place over a day.
Level 3 - In depth training suitable for staff that work specifically with children, young people and families especially in a safeguarding environment.
Level 4 - Training suitable for LSCB members
