Blaenau Gwent LSCB Practitioner Forum
LSCB Terms of Reference Practitioner Forum
The Children Act 2004 places a duty on all authorities in the UK to establish a Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) which replace the role of the Area Child Protection Committees (ACPCs). There are lessons to learn from the ACPCs and from practitioners in general. The objective of the practitioner’s forum is to give front line staff an opportunity to come together to share ideas, network and receive updates on the latest news affecting them.
‘Safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility and we all need to work together to overcome barriers and share good practice to make Blaenau Gwent a safer place for children and young people’.
The practitioner’s forum is aimed at front line staff working directly with children and middle managers. It is anticipated that the forum will meet 4 times a year and the agenda shall be driven by practitioners.
“Share good practice” “Find out more about the work of the LSCB”
“Receive updates on the latest changes in polices and procedures that affect children’s wellbeing”
“Opportunities to network with fellow professionals working with children and young people”
